Due to the ongoing demand for trucks after winter storms over the last few weeks, the national average for mid-haul outbound tender rejection rates has increased to 31.76%. There were some significant shifts in the following three carrier lanes: Los Angeles – Dallas, Houston – Dallas, and St. Louis – Columbus.
As freight market conditions tighten, carriers are pushed to increase rates on the spot market. Currently, markets in Atlanta, Ontario, Columbus, Los Angeles, Harrisburg, Dallas, and St. Louis are the best markets by volume for mid-haul freight, offering the most opportunities for carriers to keep their trucking business running.
